Mike McCarty, President, Taft Development Group

Mike McCarty is a native of Greenville, North Carolina and attended Wake Forest University with a concentration in Political Science and Health Policy Administration.

As President, Mike oversees all budgeting, design, entitlement, planning, underwriting and construction for our residential and commercial developments. Since 2008, he has successfully bid and been awarded federal government and state leases totaling more than 75,000 square feet and has constructed more than 1,500 multifamily units throughout Eastern North Carolina with another 800 in the pipeline.

Prior to joining the TFV Family 11 years ago, Mike was the Project Manager for a luxury resort condominium community located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. 

Mike is an avid member of the National Apartment Association, National Multi Housing Council, Triangle Apartment Association and the Urban Land Institute. He also holds a North Carolina Real Estate Brokerage License and is a Broker-In-Charge.
